Open intake + rain = ?
So this last week I took off my plenum because I was waiting for my slp runers to get in as well as some other stuff, so I decided to polish my pleunum. After I took it off I taped up the open runners and got to work. Couple nights later it decides to rain on me.........HARD!! for a soild couple hours. I have to power bulge hood on my 89 formula, and i took the metal fin off making it a true function "cowl". Question is, any thought of maybe water getting it my car past the tape? is this bad? I wont know how itll run til i get her all put back together. thanks guys.

if the tape is still in place then you should be fine
if you have doubts roll the motor over by HAND a few times to see if it binds (hydrolocks)
or ,after its all back together (or to remove the water if it does bind),remove the spark plugs and crank it over for a minute to blow out any water.this would be the thing to do just to be on the safe side.

Alright. I went out after it stopped raining at like 5:30-6 and checked the tape. it was dry, maybe a hint of dampness but that's it. I was just wondering that's all.
