Changing Stealth Ram Intake

im changing the tpi to a stealth ram intake manifold. i was looking around and it says i cant use the egr and i dont know wat the possibilities are with deleting it or letting the car run with out it on or what im lost on this one???

If you don't need EGR for emission testing then it just gets deleted with no problems

does it have to get deleted through the computer or just take it off and thats it?
if it has to be done through the computer how does this happen

If you just delete it it usually doesn't give any codes but as you should have a new tune done to suit the HSR you can get it deleted on the chip as well

so jus take it off, then have the chip burnt for it?
where could i get a custom chip burnt for it cuz im putting new heads and a cam on top of the HSR

There are a few companies that will do it for you..... but, the only way for it to be "right"™, is to get the equipment, and tune it yourself. Check out the DIY PROM boards, TONS of good information there....

You can get a chip burnt, that may or may not be 'close'... and it might make your car run, but, it won't be anywhere near optimal for your combination, and will probably require a few burns before you get something you can live with. This would only be a baseline tune. From there, you need to optimize it for YOUR combo. There are so many different factors involved, it is impossible for any company to just one off you a chip, and have it be right.
