losing the gizmos!!

so i have an 86 camaro now and have never had anything fuel injected before... i dont hve to worry about emissions in oklahoma so what sensors and other misc parts can i omit to clean up some of the billion wires that dont make sence to me? all i know about it as of yet is its a 305 tpi 700r4 with cruise control (going away) ummmm...thats all thank you all in advance

You can start by getting rid of those hideous a.i.r. tubes on the manifolds. If you don't want to buy headers you can buy brass plugs to plug them, but you might as well pick up a set of headers so you can run new plug wires under the headers. Ditch the a.i.r. pump while you are at it since it is now useless. Just that cleans up the engine bay substantially. Also much easier to change plugs.
