do you think this is a good combination?

I know its not for a Camaro, but you guys know the TPI setup really well. I have done a few TPI swaps before but nothing majorly modified. This setup will be going into a 72 Chevelle with a built 700r4 behind it and 4.11/posi rear end. Do you guys think its a good combination? Any changes you would do? What kind of numbers do you think it will put down?

TPI unit out of an 86 so its MAF with the 9th injector

`I think a 58mm throttle body is going to be a little much. A 52 will flow enough(900 CFM as compared to 1100 with the 58) As for boring the motor .060 over, I my mind that may be a little to much. other than that pretty stellar setup

But it shouldn't hurt the performance with the 58mm TB right? They are about the same price so I figure why not just get the bigger one and if I ever need it, its there.

The block I am using is already .060 over. We had it in a 69 chevelle that was carburated that ran 10 sec all motor. Only has about 5 passes on the strip on it.

Re: do you think this is a good combination?

You won't have any catastrophic problems with the 58mm TB. There's a lot of debate about whether or not a 52mm will actually HURT performance just a smidge on stock or very mild builds, but for what you're doing, I can't see ever noticing ANY difference between the two, 52 or 58.

......4.11 gears seem pretty deep though....
