Question on taking apart throttle body...
I am considering doing some powder coating to a few things. I need to take apart the entire throttle body in order to do this and I was wondering if anyone here has done this before.
How hard it is to take apart and put back together?

I took it partially apart to clean it and retap the TPS mounting hole. It's fairly easy if you can get the screws loose. Some PB Blaster may help you with that though. Make sure you buy a new set of gaskets as well. Places like tpiparts.net sell full throttle body gasket sets.

I powdercoated mine as well. Biggest issue I had the first time I took mine apart was tearing the old gaskets, which of course if you have a new set isn't a problem. A little liquid wrench on the "gun" portion underneath the throttle body would be a good idea too.
Takes about 5 to 10 minutes.

how about reinstalling the butterflys and the throttle body position sensor? Are those easy too remove and reinstall or is there a trick to that?

Bah, no need to do all that!
I took of the TB plate on top, the "gun" on bottom, the TPS sensor on the passenger side and that's it. I taped off the front, back and throttle spring lever. Looks awesome. We even coated the spring lever later on with a semi-gloss black.
Looks killer.
