Should my idle quality change when I disconnect the vacuum line from my fuel pressure regulator? I don't have a fuel pressure gauge so I can't really check it the right way. Thanks for any help.

I don't know nery much at all about the internal workings of regulator, but even if it didn't somehow affect the fuel pressure it would certainly affect the vacuum level and change the idle slightly...equalivent to having a vacuum leak.

Anybody else know? I disconnect the vacuum line to the regulator and plug off the vacuum port on the plenum but nothing changes. Is that wrong?

no, mine usualy doesn't unless i leave the vacume line open. the extra pressure shouldn't matter, ur still having the same amount of fuel going through the injectors.
