any other air filter options????
i believe the oil from my k&n filter ruined my rebuilt maf sensor.
ive read some people have had good luck and bad luck with k&n filters
whether this is true or not i'm not the one to say i just want to know if there are other aftermarket options for air filters even paper ones
i hate my stock one so thats no option
and now i'm doubting my k&n air filter
i started having problems after i re-oiled mine. i gave it too much
i have no engine codes and no ses light coming up
but..... when my last maf started going bad it didnt give a code at first
first time trying to start the car it wouldnt kick in
immediately trying a second time and it starts
after throwing new parts at it just to know thats not whats wrong
i replaced my maf sensor with a rebuilt one with a core charge exchange
my problem was fixed
now after within a week of re-oiling my k&n filter its back after a year of being gone with the new maf
maybe the filter had nothing to do with it but before i invest in a new maf i want to make sure its not going to go bad too
i used the maf sensor cleaner no change the stuff doesnt work for squat it didnt even look dirty but i used the stuff 3 times
even got the excess oil out of the filter
any advise guys?
