selecting a non cc dizzy for a TPI system

I recently purchased an 86 IROC-Z, and discovered the cc qjet yields absolutely horrible fuel economy. Somthing that tends to become frustrating in a daily-driver. In response i am converting it to TPI, and replacing the stock electronics with a Megasquirt-II setup. However for simplicity i would like to have a mech/vaccum controlled distributor (rather than a cc dizzy controlled through megasquirt). So my question is this, what am i looking for (feel free to reference summit part numbers..). I understand this may seem like a vauge, dumb question. but i cant seem to find a good source of information on HEI distributor systems. Obviously the stock HEI system in computer controlled. is there a non CC variant (preferably coil-in-cap) that fits all TPI manifolds (old and new)? what does distributor compatibility depend on (manifold generation?).

Thanks in advance (no pun intended)
