I haven't seen that article, but what do you mean noone here is close to that. Trax has run 12.2@112 w/ his mild miniram set-up, his new set-up will easily be 11s. Even when it had an AS&M runner set-up it was running 12.6 or .8 @ 108. And we're talking a full weight car w/ stock shortblock and tranny. And there are a bunch of other people that fast around here too.

note--Ed just said that Trax went 12.8 with LTR's. He also had AFR heads and a nice comp cam. So yes mid 12's are possible with LTR's!

I think that people are getting way too caught up in times and are overlooking Trap speeds. ET's are not indicative of horsepower. As a rough estimate, if you have 320 rear wheel horse and a 3600 lb. car you can run a 12.99. But your MPH will be fixed. You must have a MPH of better than 104 to run a 12.99 Your ET potential cannot exceed Power indicated by the MPH (This is for the new guys as I can see many of you are aware of this).
For a 12.3@111, you need to have a near perfect traction. Also, was the CHP time and MPH corrected for altitude?

Super T-10
GM posi 3.42 rear
Hurst Roll Control
13.9@102

Actually, I think he ran a 12.5 at 108 mph with the AS&M semi-siamesed runners, ported plenum, AFR heads, and 218/224 cam. I was there when he ran a 12.2 at 112 mph with the Mini-Ram and front skinnies.

Ed if you want to see the article just go look in the magazine articles on this site. The new article is a redo of the "Hardrock Camaro" article. If you'd like to see the new article I can e-mail it to you. Anytime I see that 1 company (TPIS) has provided most of the upgrade parts for a mag article I generally conclude that the #'s have been "corrected" Especially when that company is TPIS.

well, i may not count, but my 406 has TPIS runners, intake, and a58mm t.b. the engine itself is suppose to rev up to 6200, but all the power is going to be at 5500 rpms. heck, 300lbs tq at 1500 rpms.. im waiting to turn sideways on a launch.
