I am going to switch over to TPI real soon. What would be the best set up to buy? Should i get a system off of a 350? Would it be a mistake getting a TPI system off of a 305 engine? Is there a difference between the 305 TPI and the 350 TPI? What year would be best and off what vehicle? (i know they can fit both both but will the 305 run right on a 350). Most impotantly though which TPI should i look for my 350... Anyone got the answer for me????????

well sice you already have a 5.7 it would be best to find a TPI setup from a 350.i got mine from a 89 GTA.but you can use a 5.0 TPI there the same except for the injectors
305-19lbs injectors
350-22lbs injectors
if you get a 305 TPI you should change the injectors to a 22lbs or a 24 lbs injector.Summit has Accell 24lbs injectors for $225.
now there are differences in differnt years.
85-88,Mass Air system with cold start injector
89,MAF(Mass Air Flow)with out the cold start injector
90-92,Speed density TPI(no MAF sensor)
you'll want to get a wiring harness to match the TPI system you buy.now if you buy a 89 intake and buy a 85-88 wiring harness you can make it work with out the cold start injector
the speed density system has completely different wiring harness and computer since it dosen't use a MAF to sence the out side temp.it uses the MAP sensor to sence pressure in the plenum.the knock sensors on the S/D system are also different.
