Hey guys. I pulled the ECM on my 1990 350 IROC with an auto, and the numbers on the PROM are as follows:
Delco ANJF
4307
014
045915
AB8927B
The ECM has service number 01227730, and also the number 16125181.
Can anyone identify these parts for me? Also, is there a more updated Memcal that may provide better performance. Thanks.

Mods: Too busy trying to make it run right to mod it.
Airfoil, Dynomax cat-back, MSD coil, 180 t-stat, Bald Eagle tires,
Hypertech fan switch, Accel 23# injectors, Holley AFPR, ported plenum,
Ported Daytona Yellow stock base, Moroso valve covers, other stuff,
Ruger P95DC, hot wife, new oil filter, thick rubber floormats, no cats.
18.0 @ 85MPH since I'm one big-a$$ MF

Sorry Jethro, this forum is for those who need help programming their own PROMs. DIY PROM burning = Do it yourself prom programming. Transferring to the TPI board.

JETHROIROC,
The only thing I can really tell you is that 1227730 is the GM part number for a Speed Density ECM. You probably already knew that, but at least this will put your questions btt.
If you don't want to burn your own chip, the best aftermarket chip I've heard is FASTCHIP.
Hope it helps a little.

Thanks for the offer, tom, but now I feel like an idiot. The new part # is right in Traxion's prom burning article:
"Also, for your information, the current GM (AC Delco) part number for a new MemCal unit for all 1990-1992 350 F-Bodies is 16151348."
I can get it on AC Direct for under $40, so I think I'll go ahead and order it. Again, thanks for your help.

Hey mckenzie, where did you get that updated PROM chip? What part number is it? I have an 86 IROC with problems that could be related to it. I have sent you an e-mail. If I go to my dealer and ask for the 86 PROM will it be the updated one or the old one?? I was about to purchase but waited to get more info.

if you go to a gm dealership, they will need to know all the info on the car. tire size, motor, type of trans, etc. they won't know exactly what the new prom update's (parts dept. that is.) if you send me your vin, i can tell you what the new prom update will help on your veh...ie..false ses light, etc. best of luck, tom
