LT1 intake swap
I just picked up an LT1 intake from pick-a-part yesterday. I got it for $18 after taxes! that includes the fuel rails and FPR! They wanted $30 but they have 50% off on tuesdays. Anyways I already know what I need to do to convert it. But does anyone have a a diagram of all of the vaccum hose routing? Also what do I do with the hole where the MAP sensor went?

check out LT1 intake.com

basically has all the info you need.
the LT1 map sensor hole you can plug using Epoxy Putty like JB weld epoxy or Quik Steel. thats what i used when i was converting the manifold.
there are different ways you can do the PCV valve too. you can run the LT1 style setup which is just a U-shapped tube connecting the two pcv ports shown in the pic and run breathers in the TPI valve covers, or you can block the one larger PCV hole, and run the TPI's PCV valve from the valve cover into the smaller PCV hole on the LT1 manifold. Then throw a air breather on the other side of the motor
Fuel lines you can get from Purechoice motorsports. Ask for LT1 motor swap fuel lines to connect to factory TPI fuel hardlines. its about 100 bucks for the kit, 30 inch lines

Thats exactly what I was looking for. What would I need to do about the cold start injector?

Re: LT1 intake swap
So all I would need would be the chip? My cold start injector currently doesn't work because it takes a lot to get my car started. If I use starting fluid it starts up like a champ! Once its running it runs good and I can re start it all day. I only need starting fluid overnight. Anyways If I use a '89 chip will it automatically prime with the 8 injectors?
Oh yeah I also have a port right under where the throttle body goes? what is that for?

Re: LT1 intake swap
i would think the 89 chip would be all it would need... i dont know tho for sure... i think you have a '165 ecm and you need to run the 6E '89 L98 chip to have no cold start injector... but i'm not sure... so you may have to search for deleting the cold start injector.
if you do need a new computer, you'll have to run the 89 style i guess with the L98 chip for an 89
and is the port a triangle shape on the LT1 intake manifold? Is that what your refering to? I kinda forget what it was for, but i think i plugged it off as well...or possibly didnt even need to since the throttle body covered it already... i'd have to check my pics

Re: LT1 intake swap
I actally saw another at the junk yard. And the port at the frot went to pcv valve. I'll just block it off.
I saw 2 more LT1's at the yard. If I pulled them how much do yo think can get for the intake, rails, injectors, and FPR on here?
