Should the throttle body be torgued to the Plenum? I had mine off the other day because i was going to port the plenum but then I didn't. I don't have a torque wrench so I just put the bolts on as tight as I could. Is this bad? The car didn't seem to run any different.

its like 15-20 ft/lbs on the TB to Plenum. if its tight it won't do any harm. there is no strong flex or pull on the TB/Plenum connection so its not a big deal

Smokin ~ I don't think 30# will give you any problems BUT if you ever get a code 44 Lean Exhaust check the manifold bolts first.
Proper torque into aluminum IS a big deal less' your real handy with an extractor and tap & die set.
If you're flying by the seat of your pants I've always found that resisting that last little urge to get it "just a bit" tighter........ is a good thing.

Make sure to go back and re-tighten them in a week... Odds are they will only be finger tight no matter how much you tightened them down the first time...

well it wasn't tight enough for the stupid rear part to seal and it leaked oil from the intake/engine meeting point. so i get to take it off and do it again
