LT1 FUEL INJECTORS

I have a 1987 GTA 350 that had a engine fire. I have a chance to buy LT1 Injectors. Would these work in the GTA, or should i look else where? There off of a 1994 Z28 LT1.

They will work fine, but they are 24#s and your stock ones were 22#s.

The computer will take fuel out if it senses a rich condition. Don't worry about the AFPR unless you want one.

Not always. The computer will think the injectors are 22lbs, so it can only compensate so much.

no, the computer only thinks it has 22lbs injectors in open loop. in closed loop it doesnt have a "set" lb injector. it just compensates for rich and lean conditions at the o2 sensor by either making shorter or longer pulse widths to the injector. ive got LT1 injectors on my L98 and it runs a little rich when i first start it, but once it warms up it runs right around 14.7 on my autometer air/fuel ratio gauge

Don't forget at WOT the system goes into an open loop. So the engine will run a little rich when you've got your foot in it. If you're interested in tweaking in the times, get an AFR, otherwise don't worry about it.

Right, but like I said, it can only compensate so much. If the car is running too rich, the computer will reach its limits before it can take out enough fuel.
