Edelbrock / Scoggin dickey tpi vortec intake manifold .. the same????
im almost done putting together my 305 tpi for my 1991 camaro convertible ..
i just put on the edelbrock vortec tpi intake manifold and when i was transfering the metal shield thing on the bottom of it from the old one i noticed it sayed scoggin dickey on the bottom .. lol
so im assuming there both the same .. does anyone know if scoggin dickey ports theres a little more or are they exactly the same ..
ive seen some people have trouble with the scoggin dickey ones ..but mine bolted up flawlessly ..

I would say that the intake manifolds are different. Intakes are Edelbrock's bread and butter; I doubt they would pass off someone else's parts.
I'm sure they bought a boat load of the heat shields from scoggin-dickey because it was cheaper to buy them than to make their own. That way they know that it is a quality related part and they don't have to test it out.

Don't ya just love the fast paced world of aftermarket performance parts , don't feel too bad , if this happened to me I'd find a used one for $75 the day after I put the new one on .

yea .. thats what the guys at summit told me .. edelbrock makes a BUNCH of parts for other companies ..
they were laughin when they told me this .. so i guess theres something they know and we dont ..
also .. i bought some "summit racing" heads and the guy said that summit owns "trick flow" and there the same exact thing, just cheaper ..
