305 with 350 tpi issues.
Young kid bought the car. Then a friend bought it. Had a blown head gasket. Rather than fix it, the kid had pulled the 350 and dropped the 305 in but used the tpi from the 350. Car ran but not very well. Can we use a 305 ecu instead and might this improve the running situation? We haven't heard it run so the definiton of not very well is open. We are figuring the injectors are too big and hoping by changing out the computer that it will help. What do you think?

That's what I'm thinking. The kid did the swap in a hurry and there are alot of things he may have missed. Unfortunately I don't know alot about tpi but this site does have an abundance of information.

My son and I did a 350 conversion on his 85 jagxjs and are putting a twin turbo setup on it-it is his first car my first try at fuel injection-I have the pin swap on my harness for the 749 ecm but have no idea on how to convert the prom to 8 cyl-is there anybody who can get me started by setting my prom to 8 cyl to get started literally-we do custom interior work maybe a trade-or can I run a stock ecm and tune with timeing and larger injectors
