What size fuel injectors???
Just curious what rating are the stock fuel injectors on a 1987 350. I thought for some reason they were 18 lbs. If I want the car to be able to handle higher fuel pressure and more HP,and would like to step to a higher rating say 24 lb (is this enough for say 400 - 450 hp??) would I need to replace anything else but the injectors? And also would the ECM have to be reprogrammed to accept the 24 lb injectors. Thanks.

Stock 305 TPI injectors are 19#. Stock 350 injectors are 22#. Those 22# injectors will support around 400 HP. Depends on the motor. If you change injector size, then PROM reprogramming is absolutely neccessary. The computer will send the wrong amount of fuel, and the rest is obvious. Kick fuel pressure to 50 psi, this doesn't add fuel volume, just increases fuel atomization. The ECM will compensate. for a 450 HP motor, use 24# or 26# injectors, depending on how much HP you plan to make...if in doubt, use the smaller size.
