I have an 89 iroc with a 350 tpi. I am looking for a stock throttle body for it. I am wondering if the throttle bodys from a 305 car or cars from other years will work as a replacment. Should I just find one for an 89 350 tpi? Hope someone can help. Thanks.

 

I'm pretty sure all 305/350 throttle bodies are the same. But 85-88 throttle bodies are different than 89-92.

 

Engine size doesn't make a difference, they both use the same TB. The year matters though. 85-88 used a different style throttle cable than the 89-92 cars, not to mention the IAC/EGR passages were changed along with the plenum design.

 

Thanks for the help guys. I thought they might be the same for the 305 and 350 cars. Didnt know about the years. Thanks again and now I just have to find one for my year.

 

One more question about tpi throttle bodys. Are the corvette throttle bodys the same and could I use one on my iroc 350 tpi. thanks.
