The MASSIVE price increase of a TPI Memcal?

So, I'm finally back to putzing with my tune port conversion, and I nearly crapped my pants when I looked up the price of the 16151348 memcal used for Speed Density applications.

I bought one 2 or 3 years ago and it was in the neighborhood of $60. I look at GM parts Direct and monsterpartsonline.com and they're selling them for $236+!!

Is this right? Has GM really boosted the price 300% in just 2-3 year's time? Has anyone else noticed this? Are there any alternatives?

No matter where you go, its gonna be expensive. GM raised the prices. Unless someone has one on a shelf and is giving them away... you'll pay.

I understand that, but MAN. Makes Megasquirt look very affordable right now... I if I could sell mine new in the box for 20% off that price, I'd have most of the megasquirt paid off.

Thats your best bet. Moates G1 with the $75 305 memcal. Throw the AUJP bin on there and just use the 305 prom for the spark filter and netres. Plus that will let you get started on tuning your chip, which you will likely have to do down the road anyways.

I bought an AUJP memcal a couple of months ago for less than a hundred bucks, seems it was in the $80 range. you should try Scoggin Dickey or Rock Auto...
