TPI on an LTI engine?

Will the stock TPI manifold bolt up to a Gen2 [LT1] motor?

Isn't someone building a new TPI base that will allow this to be done?

I don't understand why you'd want TPI on an LT1? The LT1 intake is already a very good intake, in fact it rivals a miniram with a little porting. Maybe if you want a bit more torque you can use the TPI but then you'd lose HP in the 4500-6000 RPM, and that's where the LT1 is known to shine.

Are you speaking of the 1970's LT1??? I think it was like 70 or 71 because you did say Second Gen.

Lingenfelter has a SuperRam for the LT1 4th gen cars. The guy I bought my SuperRam from was replacing his LT1 intake for the SuperRam to increase torque.

most common thing to do to get back the torque of an L98 on an LT1 is to just make it a 383.

I know it's kind of a weird question but there is a guy here in Australia who sells LT1 crate motors equipped with carbs and HEI distributors. I have a TPI set-up I was going to put on my motor but the brand-new alloy headed roller LT1 he sells sounded pretty good!

oh if thats the case then maybe you can get the motor, buy an LT1 intake from www.camaroz28.com or ebay for $100 and try to get your computer to run it.

GM sells (or sold) LT1 crate engines with a carb manifold and distributor. The problem with putting the LT1 intake back on is that the distributor no longer fits (no hole). You'd also have to switch to the Opti-spark setup. If this guy sells LT1 crates, he might have a ZZ4 for you.

GM sells an LT4 crate engine with a carb on it.
