blows smoke on startup, smells like fuel
I need help with a problem. My 85 TA acts like it doesn't want to start. It will eventually, but when it does, it blows a big puff of white smoke out the tailpipes that smells like fuel. It doesn't do it every time, but when it does, it's pretty embarrasing. Usually does it when it hasn't been started in a few hours. It doesn't smoke while I'm driving.

check for injector leak down. possible a leaky injector puddling fuel in the head port. hard to start an overly rich engine.
plugs will tell a tale if they are soot black then id look at that specific cylinder.
if not then id look for fuel pressure difficulties or weak spark...

I thought that if was valve stem seals, it would happen when the car was parked for a while only, This thing will do it if I go in the 7-11 for 5 minutes, and not all the time. If it fires right up, then no smoke. I'll check the injectors today, and try that
