any tricks to install SLP runners? 89 305
Whats up brothers? I attempted to put on my new SLP intake runners yesterday but there was a bolt on both sides I could not get at. Since I was using my friends dads garage I did not want to take apart a bunch of stuff. Does anyone know any cool tricks to install these on a 89 305 camaro? I was thinking about taking off the top bolts on both runners on each side and remove the whole top plenium. Is this a good idea or is there any better ways. SLP does not really show any pics with the instructions. also, since i wasted my garage time at my friends house does anyone know the size of the torque bit that I will need. I am open for any help, Just want to do a burn out!

Yes, you'll need to remove the upper plenum, and possibly the valve covers too, so you can get the new lower bolts installed. The short ones on the inside will probably require a swivel attachment to make your life easier. Good luck!
I installed mine when the motor was on the stand, so I know that won't help you too much.

you dont need to remove the valve covers, jus slip the 2 bottom bolts into the runners before you slide them into place. Dont forget the 2 bolts on the inside, the fun one is on the back. I found it a little easier to tighten down with the dist. cap off
