TPI Plenum Pressure Loss
Here are the details. At wide open throttle say at 4500rpm the KPA is 100+. At around 6000rpm the KPA is down to 98+. I'm running a 58mm throttle body and a 3 1/2" cold air intake with a big K&N air filter.
So is the 2KPA worth worrying about or am I leaving some horsepower on the table. I expect to be reving the motor to at least 6300rpm if not higher so the KPA "may" drop some more.
I was thinking of going to a monoblade for a few reasons. One to slow the air down as it goes through the throttle body and thereby allowing the air to make the sharp turn into the front runners. 2nd would be to posibly allow the KPA to stay around 100kpa and get a slight horsepower increase. Third it would slightly increase the plenum volume. Any thoughts?

Take the air filter intake completely off the car and run it again. I suspect that's the cause of the 2 kpa restriction.

Well, you might be right. I have done some calculations and just ordered another air filter that is 35% bigger than the old one.
There is a formula floating around that says the K&N air filters flow 6.03cfm per square inch. The one on the car now will flow 905cfm based on that number. That is less than the 58mm throttle body presently on the car. That is not good. I don't want the air filter to be the choke point. The new one I ordered will flow 1234cfm. That will get it done.
If the dyno shows the motor still pulling well at 6500rpm that might be my shift point. So the new airfilter will fit into that along with a monoblade throttle body if I choose to go that route.
