92 tpi 350 low fuel pressure

threw a guage on my motor out of curiosity and at idle the fuel pressure is at 35 psi. Does that sound right? i thought idle pressure was supposed to be 45psi. When i rev the motor the pressure spikes to 50psi and returns to 35psi.

Did you pull the vacuum line off the regulator? If not you didn't really check the base FP.

Fuel pressure with the vacuum still connected to the regulator will be about 7-8 psi lower for a smoother idle. Do as Drac0nic says to get an accurate reading.

45 or so with the vacuum line removed. 37 or so with it attatched.
