question on "is this correct"
I'm looking at getting a v8 convertible and I'm looking at some pictures of a 91RS with TPI injection. Alot of work has been done under the hood of this car as I see headers, some wiring hacked n moved , aftermarket ignition. But I'm also seeing center bolt valve covers. I thought center bolt heads n valve covers didnt happen until the LT1 series??
This is making me wonder if the heads only were swapped, or if the whole engine has been swapped. Or I'm in the wrong. The person selling didnt do this work and only bought it, got it running, and is now selling it. He has no clue what all has happened with the car.

No RS convertible were built with TPI.
Although it was possible to order on a RS convertible in 91(maybe 92 ),
What you have is a formerly v-6 or TBI v8 RS convertible that someone has put a TPI setup into or on.
The VIN will give it away, 8th digit is engine code.

Block casting numbers will tell you.
Also should be marked on the top of the bellhousing on the engine.
Can also verify cyl head numbers by pulling off the valve covers and getting the numbers
