New Injectors or Clean Current Ones?
Hi everyone,
Just want to get some opinions on what I should do. Should I get my original injectors cleaned with Cruzin Performance or should I buy the 19# Ford SVO Injectors from Summit. Do brand new SVO injectors offer any advantages over perfectly clean/flowing OEM injectors? Thanks in advance.

Your '87 original injectors should have been the RP/Bosch type. Those are certainly worth cleaning if the coils are intact. But don't take MY word for it. Send an email to Rich at Cruzin Performance and get his expert opinion. You might also ask about the current backlog and schedule. The last I knew, he was busier than a potato chip vendor at a pot-smokers' convention.
The other consideration is that the new set may not be matched very well either, but you can ask Rich about his experience with that, too. I've been fully satisfied with the service there, but that's just me.

Well, I think you should Ohm them and if they check out OK, then send them to rich.
He did my injectors also, great service.

Ok so if testing after the engine is warm, what is an acceptable range of resistance? What is too low/high and what is the maximum % they should all differ by? If one or more is too out of range, is it junk or can it be rebuilt?
Thanks,

I had mine cleaned and flowmatched . Definately a good move. They even showed me how good they were before and after. This was at KWfuelinjection.

Thanks to all that have given their input. I'll test the injectors when I return to CA next month. I'll post if I find anything unusual when I test them. Thanks again.
