What do you guys thinK??????

I got a question for u if u dont mind. I finally got my lap top with tunerpro rt hooked up to my car and i see some things in my timing advance relative to TDC graph that really scares me...

all of these numbers at closed loop

-i am getting 20 degrees of advance relative to TDC at idle (1000 rpm)

- 46 degrees of advancement Relative to TDC at 2000 rpm and it flat lines and doesnt increase timing at all past 2000 rpm

- my BLM is 96 at idle (1000 rpm)
96 at 2000 rpm
- my INT is 86- 90 at idle
126 at 2000 rpm
- .20 knock retard when i blip throttle

by my understanding with the low BLM-INT means the computer is continuosely trying to decrease fuel. The spark really scares me how it flat lines after 2000 rpm, and is 46 degrees (wouldnt that be igniting a partiailly compressed air/fuel mix pushing the rest out of the exhaust???

What kind of advancement should i see in a good tuned car. at idle and wot.

Is the timing supposed to advance all the way to TDC or flat line somewhere in between?

Your input on what u are interrupting would be great....

thanks

James

20° BTDC at idle is not uncommon,

46° is probably what the advance limit is programmed at. If you are just sitting in the driveway or garage at 2,000 RPM with no load, that's normal. Since you have the full TunerPro package, open a stock binary file and look at the timing tables. You'll see that a lot of advance at moderate RPM and low load factors is programmed in. Remember that the total advance being reported includes the base timing advance that is programmed (5.98°)

Your BLM seems low, and it seems that the integrator verifes that. Are you running larger injectors, or higher fuel pressure?
