TPS: Good or Bad???
Ok, been having a vibration with my car. It will have a vibration only between 1,500rpm and 1,600 rpm. Above and below that is ok - - - car is in park.
Just to check, I thought there may be a dead spot in the TPS. Hooked up a VOM tonight and it read 0.50V and 4.30V @ WOT. While opening the throttle very slowly, it did have a spot where the volt meter wouldn't read, but that was at roughly 4.00V - 4.15V.
If I am trying to compare a vibraton at such a low rpm, I should see a dead spot closer to the 0.5V region, correct???
Second question - since there is a dead spot existing, should this be replaced anyways?
I did try to adjust it to get 5.00V @ WOT, but then I had 0.93V at the closed throttle position. So I readjusted it to get 0.54V closed, and 4.50V @ WOT.
Please let me know your thoughts! I know many of you have fought this!!

Is it a vibration at just park or while driving? I had a similair problem while driving from stop to 2nd it seemed. Check your tranny mounts if that's the problem. Mine were looses, and broken. I tightened them up and vibration gone... except when I'm at a stop.

Well there is a vibration in the steering wheel while driving, but I was leaning towards other things for that. So to try and isolate things, I checked the car while sitting still, in the driveway. And the car will vibrate while sitting in park, revved to 1,500rpm.
