LPE 213 Cam and TPI Setup

They are brand new on ebay for 100 bucks and was wondering if this would be a good upgrade to a stockish 350 TPI. It said to be for stock TPI 350 and Stock Heads with spring. 213/219 493/502 (1.6) and a 112 LSA

Not a bad cam at all. I'm running something very similiar. See signature. However it would be best to have a new chip burned for your car. Also not sure if you stock heads can handle the lift.

I seen these too and was wondering the same thing.
Is this better than the ZZ4 cam?

I dont know about that, but this cam will be used for 9-12 PSI ATI. I called lingenfelter before I got this because it was a 112 cam and they said it would work well with a blower since there is no overlap, so I said ok. For 100 bucks shipped how can you go wrong. We are going to use comp pro mag rockers at 1.52 to keep the lift lower for the blower.

I would jump on that deal. Good thing you didn't give the address of the auction. I would have bought it.

Lingenfelter has a roller cam in the same range on thier site, for about 100 bucks, just FYI if you get into a bidding thing.

If not CA legal (officially), it should be able to pass, since it's almost the same as a Crane 2032.

I emailed them:

How well would the LPE-74216 work on a 355 with ported aluminum Corvette
(#113) heads, and a Holley Stealth Ram? I realize you probably get a million
of these questions, I am just trying to find out if this cam would run well
with my combination. I realize that I will need to do some custom tuning,
that is not a problem and run a high stall converter. For the price I really
can't beat it as long as it will run well with my combo. I was also looking
at a ZZ4 grind and would like to know if this cam would benefit me more.

Reply:

I would think this would work excellent. The torque converter would need to
be around 2600 stall. It should do great and make about 25 rear wheel over
a stock Corvette camshaft.

Tim,

Thanks for getting back to me so quick. Do you know approximatly how much
more horsepower this cam might make over the ZZ4 cam?

Thanks again,

Jon

Reply:

Jon,

No but this one would have a better idle. About the same power.

Their cams ALWAYS idle smooth. I have the 219/219 560 560 and it sits pretty at a smooth 650 idle. I kinda like it.
