limp mode...????

iv'e noticed l8ly when letting off the gas to slow down for an off ramp that my idle drops and exhaust sounds different..haven't paid attention to it b4 sound normal..i have no codes...any ldeas guys.?????thanx for any help and just for reading this mess...

Sounds like your referring to Decel Fuel Cut Off. When decelerating, the ECM greatly reduces injector pulsewidth (sometimes completely off). Its normal.

Is that on SD cars as well? Lately in my efforts to increase MPG's when I am coming to a stop or getting off the freeway or whatever, I put it in Nuetral and coast to a stop. But with what you said.....I wonder if it does any good. I figure for a half or quarter mile to be at 700rpms VS. staying in D at 2000-700 rpms, every bit of distance adds up fast during a week.

my car

my car is maf and it responds if i get even a little touch on the peddle so im not thinking is really wrong, i just never really paed attention to it..
