Bought it with 20,000 now has 23,000. Smokes little on start up due to dried seals but going to take car of that this winter.

212k mi on stock motor never opened. Tranny has been rebuilt. No smoke but there is a ticking sound on the passenger side of the block. I can't tell if it is an exhaust leak or valvetrain.

Almost 150000 miles on original 305 TPI, trans and axle.
Used to smoke on startup, had top end rebuild with new valve seals, nice n clean now.
Still a lazy starter, think I've probably got a leaky injector or weak coil.

have a 305 TPI out of my 86 IROC- 127k miles, and it burned a small amount of oil- 1/4 quart a month. but no funky noises or anything and it ran great before removal.
swapping for my zz4 with vortecs and keeping the TPI.. $787 on a vortec baseplate and high flow runners.. DAMN it better be worth it..

I've got you ALL beat. My '86 has over 87 trillion miles. Follow along:
Earth travels around the sun once every year. The Sun orbits the galactic center at a rate of 514,495.3 MPH, meaning it travels 4,506,978,828 every year. Just for ease, we'll call that 4.5 trillion miles. Since my '86 was built in July of 1986, it has traveled 87,134,908,984.7 miles.
Given that my odometer shows 49,148 miles and that many of yours show many more, and that approximately half of all your accumulated miles were in roughtly opposite directions, most of your actual mileage traveled has been erased. Meanwhile, my old '86 just keeps piling up the mileage, all while sitting under the dust cover in the garage.
How's that for technical content, in an otherwise non-technical thread?

I have 194,450 on my 88 GTA.
The valve covers have never been off the motor.
It does smoke on start up but that is all ( has done that since I bought it years ago).
Just had the tranny rebuilt in September but the motor is still running strong.

269,9?? miles, daily driver, first and last owner, ordered Nov 85, Received Mar 86. Motor and trans never opened. The usual replacements - starters, alternators, water pump and so on. Got some minor issues but starts and runs well every time.

90,000 on my 91 Z28 LB9 5-spd. I'm the original owner, ordered it in June of 1990, finally picked it up that Sept. Just replaced stock injectors with SVO's and fixed external oil leak. No smoke at start up. Original rear end & clutch. Gone through several alternators.

OD says 150k+, but it's more like 145k. I'm waiting to put a new tranny in, but this ones not ready to die. I already blew up the old 9 carrier, had a series 3 rebuilt and larger gears.

95678 miles.. only 600 or so this year. Engine runs strong and tranny doesn't slip a bit. Doesn't burn oil anymore, mostly just very rich on startup.

I've got 128,000 on the ticker and it still gets pretty hairy when I hit the go-go pedal. At idle I am running about 700 rpm's and 30 pounds of oil pressure. She is certainly built to take it. Although I smoked one rear end out of her already... my bad.
