86 T/A still at the shop
I don't know if anyone remembers I posted a while ago about my 86 TPI not idling, well the shop still has it, they've replaced a lot of stuff, good thing for my they aren't going to charge me any labor. They're going to take the car to the dealer and see what happens then. It appers that the previous owner knew there was a problem, and new how to fix it so it wouldn't act up for a few days. Well the temporary tag has already run out, so if the dealer can't fix it without major costs, I'll go to get the emissions, and when it doesn't pass, this guy will be getting a phone call to either he needs to fix it or give me back my money.

Well it cant be that hard to figure out, any shop that has mechanics worth a squat should know whats wrong. If it won't idle I'd suspect the IAC is acting up. I'd check it, and the connector/wires to it. Check the fuel pressure by simply hooking up a guage to the test fitting. Check engine light on? Pull the code or hook up a tech one and read the data while the veheichle is running.

I don't know exactly what the shop has done, I do know that it is still throwing the MAF code, and they've used 3 different ones. I would think hte dealer would know for sure to check the fuel pressure and everything else, it does run great at anything other than idle though.
