I am going to swap cams.. going from 93LT1 to LT4 HOT Cam..
i thought i had read that it is not needed to degree in GM cams, im going to be doing the swap while the engine is still in the car. i know all about what i need to remove and such.. i just thought i can pull the cam and stab in the new one, as long as the marks line up on the timing gear set.

I will degree any cam that I install, to be sure the timing events are exactly what they should be on the card. Camshafts are ground on computer controlled machines that are programmed by humans. And we all can, and will make mistakes. Buy a cam degree kit, with a video, youll be glad you did. Once you learn how to do it, its not tricky at all.

Dave:
You should do that down here so I can supervise
The main thing is the valve springs (clearance).
The other is, it is going to run pig rich after the install. (will burn your eyes)
