Gets Hot Shuts off, New FuelPump
Could it be the injectors? I am about to junk this car, so close do doing so. It is a beautiful blk/ChGray 3.1L V6 great gas milage, but this shutting down issue is driving me crazy.
I have replaced just about everything that last being the Fuel Pump and Filter.
Riding fine stop after driving car won't start wait about 30 min or so starts right up.
Is it Electrical or what? Someone Help! Please!!!!!!!!!

Possibly your starter. Mine would do the same thing. I got a starter heat shield and haven't had a problem since.

man, that sux.
i had a similar problem. after it got warmed up all he11 would brake loose. when you hit that gas it would backfire and only run about 20mph and miss like crazy. cool it down and ran fine. after replacing several hundred dollars worth of parts.......
ignition control module.
good luck

UPDATE:
just got the car back from the shop after replacing the Fuel pump and filter. Feels a little better, gas flow is good ; I have not had a chance to run it hard on the Highway to see how she does, I will give her a run this weekend. I am going to change the starter solenoid and if that does not solve the issue I will check the ICM.
It seems as though everyone on this site thinks it's the ICM so I will change both the starter solenoid and the ICM.
I bought the car back in September and have replaced the following:
Complete Tom's Tune-Up (Wires, Plugs, Cap, etc..)
Tranny and coolant flush.
Exhuast system to include the Cat Converter and Oxygen Sensor.
Front Suspension.
New belts, pulley.

Axle/Gears: Always the good ones
When u check out the ignit module.
Test out the pickup coil. Its the yellow/green wires plugged into the ign module..
Check to see that both wires are OL to the distributor and each other.
Together they should ohm out to roughly 500ohms and generate about .5v ac when cranking(i usually see .35v ac when cranking on known good ones)
Hope it helps and hope it runs good eventually

HERE IS THE UPDATE:
WIRING SEEMS TO BE THE ISSUE
Last Night; I took it for a test run while going to pick up a new ICM, well let me tell you it was not the ICM causing the shut down. It shut down again and I was stuck on the road until late
I was really ready to junk the car, but the body is great and when it does run it is a real Stallion on the road, so I am
I did notice the wiring for the coil was a little stripped. ( that could be the cause(don't think so yet).
Tonight I will go and get a battery with somewhere between 810 - 925 cold crancking amps.
This weekend I will install a new starter.
If that does not change this I will go back to the wiring connected to the coil next to the ICM.

if the car turns over but wont fire your battery, or starter really have nothing to do with it. you have to determine if your getting spark or notwhen it wont start, this could be a couple different things but I dont think its your starter. Im starting to thing either an ignition coil, pickup coil, or maybe even your ECM. Here is what I would do first see if you have spark when cranking the car over while you have the no start condition occouring. If you dont have spark get a test light and see if the coil has power and is being triggered on and off by the ICM and if it is your coil isnt firing and will need replaced. If you arent getting a signal at the coil then you have to try and disconnect one of the fual injectors and see if its firing if not its either the ECM, Pickup coil or the wiring between one of these modules.

Update:
I have changed the ICM and put a new Battery (Champanion 925 amp) car runs better but is still shutting off when hot.
Tomorrow I am going to check the Cat Converter.
I was running it last night and it seems to be overheating, when I turn the AC on it brings the temperture down. So, my thought is something is not letting the air flow out.

Well Guys, the Mechanic states that my Water Pump is shot.
I'm wondering if it was just the thermostat> Would I not have more of an issue with the car if the water pump was shot?
