Injector size question
Im bulding an engine and i started with a 1986 305 tpi and i have hedders , kn filters , 3.5 inch exhaust no cat, bbk afp reg, airfoil, ported plenum and im going to port the heads and im waiting for a cam kit from summit http://store.summitracing.com/partde...=KeywordSearch
So now to the question are the 19lbs injectors to small ive also got injectors from a 350 engine , should i use them instead or will they just flood my engine with fuel ?
Is a 52mm throttlebody overkill ? or will i gain anything from it ?

That's a pretty mild cam. If your'e just porting the stock heads you won't gain any power by using bigger injectors. You MAY however get some gain by installing an AFPR and going up to ~46 psi fuel. Don't get a bigger throttle body, that would be a mistake.

Oh, I see that you already have an AFPR.... But 50 psi should be to much pressure for what you're running.
Also, an 86 engine did not come with a roller cam, so you probably need to buy some self-aligning rockers for those type lifters.

I'm a bonehead sometimes... I see now that you are going to use flat tappet lifters/cam so you won't need self-aligning rockers. Those are only needed on a roller cam/lifters combo. As for your question: 1988 rockers on a flat tappet cam/lifters... I believe that you should be fine using that combo.

Ok thanks guys , this is the first time im rebiulding an engine.
Yes maybe the cam is mild but still i guess its better than the stock one , right?
Im looking to build a reliable engine and maybe next year either turbo or supercharge it.
They claim that using this cam on a 1986 305 tpi will give you 40 hp extra on a stock engine.

Get a good AFPR like the Holley one or something like that. If you raise the pressure abit, your stock injectors should be good up to about 300hp or so I believe.

Ok , i hope my BBK AFPR is good enough.
So unless i pull more then 300 hp i dont have to change them, then i will wait untill i turbo or supercharge the engine.
Thanks alot for all the answers.
