Edelbrock High-Flo TPI Intake Manifold

Is this worth installing on my 350 TPI? If so will it work with a Stealth Ram I plan on installing?

Yes it's worth it (with runners), but no, the SR is a contained intake and then you'll have to peddle the Edelbrock in the classifieds.

You're going to have to do some searching to see what is beter for what you want....keeping in mind that the StealthRam is not 50-state legal. The SR should allow for higher RPMs, but then aagin if you don't fi the engine with cam and heads to take advantage, there may be little benefit for you.

Check the www.stealthram.com page, might be a start for you there.

It you love poor quality and air and coolant leaks sure use one.
You can't use OEM runner gaskets due to needing the oval cut EGR one on BOTH sides! The botton runner hole are tapped in to the water jacket and the inst did not say crap about teflon tapeing those bolts. If you set the intake gasket right you block the injectors. IT needs MAJOR port work out of the box. On the one I had NONE of the injector holes/bosses where the same in the intake tracts. I got the vortec set up now and it was good to go out of the box.

Hey Rosco, Good to see some more Navy guys on this forum!!!!

I have the Edelbrock system for 10 years and I haven't had any coolant leaks, but the runner bolts do back off and cause vacuum leaks. If you port match the plenum to match the runner size, you will need to use the Mr Gasket large port, top runner gaskets. (Part # 146 or Accel part # 74195G, Accel part may be out of production but it is the same as the Mr. Gasket) You still have to use the Edelbrock Gasket on the bottom (Part # 3866) and use new ones every time as they are crush to fit, one time use only.

I would most definitely use teflon tape or at least antiseize on the bolts as a minimum. I finally seized a bolt that last time I took it apart. That was becasue it seized on one of the many helicoils I have had to install over the years. The aluminum is very soft

I haven't had any problems with the injector placement or tearing intake gaskets like Roscoe evidently did. Then again, I'm running S/R Torquers and slightlly larger port aftermarket gaskets. (FelPro 1204) BTW, the lower port holes are for the EGR/Cold start system and I don't believe are in every port. Would have to pull things apart again to verify (and that's not going to happen if I can help it!)

Yea theres a few of us on here..
I must of got one made when the QA was out to lunch. I also have Edelbrock runners and headers and cat back so I did trust them. My vac and cooant leaks where from the get go.
I wish my Edelbrock looked was good as my SDPC vortec out of the box-

Edelbrock doesnt have QA... or QC.

I keep telling people this, but unfortunately, not everyone hears me screaming. Sounds like you got a shifted casting, pretty common. I had an Edelbrock performer RPM that never should have left their building, a monkey with a SBC gasket could have seen the problem it was that bad.

Nevermind that their tech/customer support people flat out lie.

Get the Accel manifold. Edelbrock quality control is the worst ever. I have heard and seen nothing but crap come from them.

Also you can get the Accel intake for about $390-400 which is close to what summit racing wants for the Edelbrock intake, just give the guys at http://www.cruzinperformance.com/ a call.

6 years with the Edelbrock and only one coolant leak the last time I put it on. I'm thinking its my error this time.
