New engine running too rich
Just started the 383 today for the cam breakin, but the car is running really rich. I changed the injector constant to 19 from the base, stock AUJP bin I have, and the displacement constant to match 383 ci, but it is still getting too much gas, so I went to get the part # for the injectors, thinking that maybe the previous owner installed bigger injectors, but I can't find a match for the # on any list. It is 0280150235 . I'm not sure what's going on here, or maybe that is not the part #? Its the only number I found on them.
I haven't had a chance to datalog or anything, my attempt at building an ALDL cable failed so I think I'm just going to buy one. Tomorrow I will be able to hook the car up to a wideband O2 sensor to see exactly what it looks like, but for now I was just wondering if anybody knows what it could be that's making it run so rich, and if it would be a good idea to up the injector constant a little to try to get it evened out?
