I need some TPI help, silly stuff

OK for those guys I haven't annoyed with dumb questions here's my deal. I'm converting my 79 Camaro over to tuned port. Right now I have some real silly requests. I need to get some pictures of the divorced coil bracket and or placement, and the same with the EGR control solenoid. I think I have the right parts, but I'm just not sure. And I'm guessing on the placement of them.

Any pictures, links information etc. you guys could take the time to send me would be greatly appreciated.

fourth pic down, should be '87-88 coil/EGR solenoid mounting bracket

If the link is dead, give it a day, free=low bandwidth usage.

If I wouldn't have run Vortec heads, I would have just put it in the stock location. Bolt hole spacing is different just enough so that bracket wasn't easily enough modified to fit the Vortec bolt pattern.

Ah, another second gen TPI convert. Well, actually I converted to TPI and then ditched it for a Stealth Ram, but you'll have to do basically the same stuff I did to get it setup. I used the small cap / remote coil setup and just mounted the coil on the firewall. This way I never have to worry about the coil failing from heat soaking. What are you using for air intake ducting? I used a complete firebird intake, flipped over so the air filter can is on the driver's side. The snorkel is in the cold air stream next to the radiator, and my IAT temps are very close to ambient when the car is moving. My HSR does not even have EGR provisions (I don't have to pass emissions anyway)

I'm just going to run a K&N RC 5000 off the nose of the throttle body. I will have to pass all emissions for California so everything needs to be hooked up. Since there are no sensors in front of the throttle plate the K&N will be legal. This thing is really starting to get irritating, lots of small issues. I ended up rebuilding the wrong distributor (had no clue the had a similar but different dist on the caprice small blocks) A guy on nastyz28.com said he has one but won't get me the info to pay for it. I guess firing it up this weekend is slowly slipping out of reach.

Where does the coil mount on the 90-92 TPI from the factory?

Ok, three second gen guys on a thread in third gen website....

What's wrong with this picture!

Dave... fancy meeting you here!

One piece of advice, if you put that air filter on the end of the throttle body, you're going to sound like your running around with a Hoover vaccum cleaner under the hood. It's loud, believe me.

Hey Mike

Maybe it will satisfy my need to hear something. I'm going to miss the sound of the secondaries on the quad opening up.

The bracket mounts to the back to intake bolts on the passenger side. The intake manifold bolts actually go thur the coil mounting bracket. Then the EGR solenoid mounts to the bottom side of the top flange on the bracket. So both the coil and the EGR solenoid are attached to this bracket from the factory.

Hope this is clear enough and helps..... if not let me know.
