home made tpi gaskets??

hi i just got a hiflow setup, and i have some vary ported slp runners i got from mike graycar, he was sayin he makes his own gaskets, does anyone know how to do this?

Are you sure the Mr. Gasket set for large TPI runners won't work? They are pretty big and accomodate my 1.70 inch runners nicely and looks like they would work on something as big as 1.80 inch runners. How big are we talking about? Allen

Most parts places sell rolls of gasket material for pretty cheap.

Just trace out the shape you need, cut it out, punch the holes for the bolts, and be done with it. Just make sure you get it right the first time unless you want to be pulling the manifold apart every weekend

Maybe even buy one set of gaskets that you know work well, and use them as a template. Takes the guess work out of it.
