EGR Valve Solenoid Picture Needed

Hello all. The EGR valve solenoid on my 86 IROC (with an 89 motor in it...TPI has an 89 base but all the rest is the original 86 stuff) is not bolted to anything. I need a photo of the correct manner and location to mount it. I had the head gaskets changed a while back and when I got the car back, the solenoid was loose. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

The 86 TPI has it mounted somewhere in the back, near the distributor. What I need to see is a pic of the bracket itself, mounted. (a good description will also work )

Thanks for the effort though.

Thats an emissions vacuum solenoid for the LG-4/L-69 evaporative emissions system, pictured above, not an EGR solenoid.

As I recall the EGR solenoid on a TPI (all years) was attached to a bracket on the passenger side of the intake back near the distributor. Mine were all "swinging free" by the time I owned the car, though, too.

It's got a 2-wire electrical connector and 2 vacuum lines going to it. There's a 3rd vacuum hose nipple that has no hose attached to it even though it looks like it should.

Maybe I can find something...

Yup. Solenoid and bracket:

And the installation location:

If that doesn't help, I can find more, probably.

Thats the one! It looks like it mounts to the valve cover bolts. Since my car now has center bolts instead of perimeter bolts, I need to do something different. Thanks for the help!

Not to the valve cover, mounts with the same bolts as the coil. The bracket goes underneath the coil bracket, and is held in with the same bolts.
