how do you know that there is something wrong with the injector, what exactly is it doing to not run right?
to change the injector, you have to pull the plenum, runners, and fuel rail

No matter what, your going to need to pull the fuel rail which means your going to need to pull the plenum. Won't take you more than 30 minutes to get it done. have fun.

used an injector balance tester...and #7 is getting proper pulse from the ecu, using a diode, but using the balance tester which tests each injector indvidually its dead....no sound what so ever...and fuel pressure doesnt drop for that injector

If you spent $400.00 for a guy to tell you you have a bad injector, i'd think about either getting a new mechanic, or perhaps a manual.

You use a tester like the one actron sells that pulses individual injectors while you watch the pressure drop on a rail mounted gauge. No need to remove any injectors for this test.
Sorry to say porky...you'll have to remove the plenum and at least loosen the runners so you can get at the fuel rail bolts.

I guess the mystery is over, the injector is junk.
