SVO 19# Injectors (I figured this needs it's own topic)
I am in the market of replacing my 108,000 mile injectors with new ones.
My confusion is this; www.fiveomotorsport.com says that they don't sell 19lb injectors for a 91 305 TPI, only 22lb.
Bruce Holt (the owner) confirmed this in an e-mail reply,
"We sell only the 22lb injectors for the 91 305 TPI engines."
Anybody have any comments?

i also went with bruce at fiveomotorsport and they also told me 89-92 305 have 22lb injectors. I bought their ford 19lb injectors from them and they work fine with my lb9. The model number for the injectors are FOTE D5B. I still don't know if my injectors are svo injectors

I have SVO 19lbs injectors also, work great. I also monitor fuel pressure and fuel/air inside the car and the maintains great fuel/air ratio acroos the board. BTW, I have also replaced my stock chip with a ThermoMaster by HyperTech that helped lots.

is your friend.
From a good discussion from:

Now the only variable in this is I found another reference of 37 lbs. for the Ford rating (meaning my numbers are on the low side for flow). My numbers should still be close enough.

I screwed the correction.
Ford rates at 39.1 GM at 43.5 so if I did the math right...
Ford rating
19
24
GM rating
21.14
26.7
Roughly as I'm just playing with the math.
And the FOMOCO order no. for the 19 lb.:FMS-M9593C302

On fiveomotorsport, the bosch/ford 0280150556-D5B 19lb injectors state that they are for 1985-88 TPI 305 and that the 0280150561-D9B 22lb injector is for the 1989-92 Camaro TPI 305.
According to your math, the DB9 would then be around the 24lb area.
See my confusion?

Scott - Only 1985-88 305ci engines used the 19lb injectors - all the later models went to a 22lb injector.
We would never sell a 19lb injector for your 91 - the resulting lean condition could cause serious damage from over heating.
