Axle/Gears: 3.27:1 borg warner 9-bolt w/ PBRs
depth of LB9 oil pan
anyone know the depth of the oil pan on a 1988 LB9 motor? i'm getting a melling oil pump and pickup and need to know the depth for the pick up.

I don't know off hand, but the easiest way IMO to find out would be to take a piece of wood, lay it across so it forms a bridge and drop a plumb line type thing and measure that.
The easiest way to get the proper pickup height that I've used is to measure the depth then loosely bolt the pump on and install the pickup. Place a thin layer of modeling clay along the bottom. This acts as the gap between the screen and the pan. Once you have the proper height, remove the pan, and ulitimatly the pump and pickup and braze the pickup to the pump.
