PLEASE HELP! Please give me a hand with this leak on my hsr afpr.
I just got the hsr and installed it went fine all exept for the fuel leaking out of the afpr, aperently where it attaches to the fuel rail. all bolts are tight, and o ring is present and was oiled when installed. no problems just leaks. I am hoping this is something that has happened to others before, but if it is not it may just be a defective part ill contact summit but just incase any one may know a way to solve my problem, im sharing my issure with you all.

ps: what fuel pressure should i be set at with the hsr holley duall 58mm tb, and stock injectors, everything esle is mentioned on the sig. Thanks again!

Even though the O-Ring was oiled, you may have accidently torn it during the installation. If this happened you would get a leak. Another possibility is that you used the wrong size O-Ring on it. Just a thought!!!!!!!!!!

Definitily look at the O ring real close. It may only have a very small tear. I had thi shappen to me with one of ther injectors O rings. And definitly aim the adjusting screw on the FPR to the outside of the engine. It is almost impossible to adjust it with it sitting behind the plenum. I used a 90 degree fitting on the FPR and a straight fitting on the braided hose I made.

well, i alredy had takcen it apart and checked the seals and re assembaled it. i also got a new o ring, it is the same as the one one the injectors right? and still same pretty heavy leak. so i called summit and they are exchanging it out for a new one. it shjould be here friday, lets hope that fixes the problem..... thanks for the imput everyone

AHHHHHHHHHHH IT DIDNT WORK!!!!!!!!!!
I JUST PUT IN THE NEW ONE AND IT IS STIL LEAKING! i have almost positively determined that the leak is comming through the o ring that connects the regulator to the fuel rail. i have the new fresh gasket in, lubed it and all.
Please some one tell me how i can fix this it is killing me! And i need the car back, desperately.

could i use some type of sealer, more than one o ring, any thing. Even if it is temporary as long as it is safe i am now open to any ideas

they sent me just a new regulator with o ring no rail or anything, rail seems to be fine unless the opening is too big. as you could expect it is really hard to see where the leak is comming from but i managed to get a flashlight in there, and i could see air bubbles comming our then i turned the key to prime the system after puting it back to gether.
o, yea also on the connection on the back of the regulator to the fuel line, what is used to seal the 90* elboe to the regulator , washer , o ring, both , or nither?

I cant remember what I used for fittings to seal the lines togehter. I did not use all the fittings that holley sent me. Actually, I think I did use the 90 degree fitting but I dont remember what was used to seal it. If I where you I would take the rail along with the reg. and bring it to a shop that sells fittings and have them look at the setup you have. They may have something different you can try for fittings. This may help you or it may not if it is indeed the O ring setup. The hole may have been machined just a hair to big. the only way to tel is get another rail. Are you sure the O ring isnt rolling in as you push the reg into to the rail. Try slowly turning it into the rail like you are screwing it in. How fast can Summit send you a new rail

yea i tried to put it in pretty gingerly, i think i may try two o rings just incase it might help. i am thiking the same theing about there being too big of a hole in teh rail, it is the only logical ixplination.

im back yea your right anyt way only one would fit bud i did figure out my problem. the replace ment for the defective part they sent me is also defictive. i used my compressor to shoot air into the inlet tube off the fuel rail that goes to the regulator and where they are attached between the regulator and the tube that connects to the regulator air bubbles are comming out so onless i seriously dont understand some thing both parts i got were messed up and defective. Wow, i am really starting to HATE holley. Sad too, i thouhg they were good.

Are you putting all the bolts (screws) back in the regulator block? Don't forget there is one at the back of the block connecting it to the right fuel rail.

what do you mean the plug on the back of the drivers side fuel rail. there are only two screws that hold the regulator on for the fuel set up on the stealth ram.

im just about positive that it is leaking at the connection between the regulator and the tube with the o ring that goes to the fuel rail.

Are you using the stock rails/regulator or the HSR rail kit?
The kit uses a AFPR similar to a LT1 reg. To my eyes at least.
On my rail kit:
It only has room for one o-ring. The O-ring appears to be different from an injector o-ring. Not that I took it off to see.
I think it is at least thicker, not sure on the OD.
Either you have the wrong o-ring or a burr or scratch in the bore in the rail. I work on hydraulics which the low pressure stuff is 300 psi. 45psi is pretty insensitive comparativily.
Here's a pic, the mount holes are 1/4"
From looking at the stock diagram, I've always had good luck with WD40 for lube. Just make sure the o-ring is near the tip of the tube so it can move a little. If placed near the back side, it can't move so the lube can get wiped off during installation and cause the ring to grab and tear.
Did your stock TB fit with the rail kit? My 58mm BBK didn't clear the crossover fitting.

For starters yes my throttle body fit fine over the cront fuel crosover. i do have the stealth ram fuel rail kit with the adjustable fuel pressure regulator, same as in you picture. THe leak though seems to be comming from the base of the tube that connects the regulator to the fuel rail in the many times i have removed and reinstalled the rigulator the rings have been fine, nick free, and properly lubricated each time. not quite sure what to do know. i plan on taking it to a local race shop to see if they can help me find out an answer.

o, sorry i for got to mention what kind of throttle body, it is a holley dual 58MM, with no fitment problems.
