New Chip, Now Runs Crappy
Ok so I went ahead and ordered a chip for my 91 Z28. It has vortec heads and the Lt4 hotcam with the SLP 25lb injectors. it was running way rich with the stock chip. So I got a custom chip and now it runs like ****. it ilde's around and won;t stay steady. Should I retime the car again, do you think the timing could be all wack now or no Yea yea I know everyone is gona say burn ur own but I don;t have the equipment and I know nothnig about it right now. SO anyother suggestions besides calling um back up and having them re-do the chip.

I assume your car is in good tune? Set the timing back to stock, 6 deg. If it runs worse with the new chip call them back up and make them fix it. If you bought a part and brought it home and it was broken you'd take it back wouldn't you? The same should apply for the chip.

Well set the timing back to 6 and well see how that goes. They said if that doesn't work they'll burn another one and try again. Hey blacknasty the car is in Charlotte actually at my parents house. My dad took it to a camaro show last sunday I dunno if you were there or not. Burgundy 91 Z28 was mine. I wish i could find someone to burn chips for me or show me how
