First off, the Ramjet is far from "stock". About 105 hp more
than the 1991 TPI 350. Did you mean "crate" motor?
GM High Tech Performance has an article on GMPP
Ramjet 350 in a yellow 1991 Camaro RS (with a Corvette
6 speed, 4.10s in the rear and street tires). It did
13 seconds flat in the 1/4. Sounds right to me for 350 hp
and 400 ft lbs in a 1991 Camaro. The stock 1991 Camaro
Z28 TPI 350 does about 14.1-14.5 in the 1/4. Of course,
all varies with track, temp, wear and tear, driver, etc.
They said the Camaro could easily do 12.8 with slicks,
but may end up blowing out the rear end.

Yes, I know this is an old thread but I have a couple questions.
S10Wildside,
Do you happen to know if this will clear a stock S-10 hood? For the price how would this compare to a Miniram? Stealthram?
The price really appeals to me, but I'm not sure how well this will perform feeding a 383 that will be powering my S-10.

I have a brand new RamJet 350 manifold kit I haven't had time to install. If you're looking for one I can sell it for what I paid for it through Summit plus shipping. I can also build a new harness if you're interested.
There is a RamJet 383 package that a few places sell. I don't have experience with it though.

I know of someone who put a RamJet 350 crate into a 92 S-10 Blazer with the stock hood. While I didn't pay much attention to the hood clearance, it did all fit. I don't know how far back the engine was installed.

I'm still debating between the Miniram, StealthRam Power Pack, and this RamJet setup. I'm also considering the Commander 950 Multi–Point Power Pack.
I will most deffinatly have you build me wiring harness. When it comes to EFI into an S-10 you seem to be one of the only ones to do much with it. Which means I have a ton-o questions for you.
P.S. You should come back to www.v8s10.org and add to/correct the EFI information thread I made over there. Trying to stir up their FI section, its dead.

Hello Kurt04, I have an '86 S10 with a RamJet manifold on a L98 block with iron vortec heads. RamJet intake clears the stock hood without any issues. Running the motor set back as far as I can get it for radiator fan clearance. Using the 730 ECU although I do have a richness issue that we are still chasing. i am in the market for a different 730 to try. This one came with the truck (previous TPI conversion) and I am told may be flakey.

Yes this is an old thread, but I felt it was worth a bump.
It has sparked an idea for me. My vision is to replace the disgusting CSFI in my 98 Z71 with the RAMjet upper, over E-tec heads over a ZZ4 Short Block.
The pictures and commentary on this thread has been a great help in my reasearch, and as my conversion progresses I will share all trials and tribulations with you all.
I am the former owner of both 88 and 92 Camaros, so I feel at home here, and would be happy to share the information gained in this conversion.
