? about high torque starters......
can they get heat soaked like stock starters?I was informed that they can't so I installed one a few months ago.Didn't have a problem until it got warmer the past few weeks.After driving then letting it sit it doesn't start till it's cooled down acting just like a heat soaked starter.

I haven't had any problems with my Summit mini-starter on my TPI 305, but I also run a home-made metal shield. It's bolted to the bottom of the starter and goes up between the header and starter motor.
Check to see if your connections are tight, especially for the solenoid.
