Potential of ZZ3
Hey guys, Im finally getting myself involved in a fuel injected thirdgen. The car I bought came with a stock TPI ZZ3 crate. What are the potential of these motors with the heads and cam that it's got?
so far it's ran a best of 14.9@93 but you can literally feel the power fall off after 4500. I'm thinking intake improvements and exhaust is the way to go first off. If i want to see 13's though, will i need to change heads?

I had 3.42s, 160 stat, 88 gta aluminum drive shaft, air foil, ported plenum, timing at 12 degrees, 50 psi fuel pressure, Home made ram air behind my fog light openings. ZZ3 camshaft, stock 1.5 rockers, headman 1 5/8 headers, no cats, dynomax super turbo muffler, Trans pac shift kit, underdrive pulleys and stock chip, stock heads, intake and injectors. 13.11 at 101.6 is my best time on slicks. So you should be able to get in the 13s really easy with the heads you have. I run the car at about 180 degrees engine temp for best times. Traction is the Key!!
