LT4 Conversion

Thinking about putting an LT4 engine into my 1990 firebird. I know the heads and everything else is different but i was wondering after getting the right block and sensors, etc. what type of wiring harness would be needed and would the engine still fit under the stock hood???With the wiring would it be a hack job cutting and splicing wires together to get it to work?

I would buy a painless wiring kit. Hands down, no debate. Could you hack into your existing wiring? You'd need a new computer, but I bet the actual wiring to and from could be hacked and used, but dear lord what a headache. Some of the sensors should work, others would be different. It's not worth it. Go with painless. I can't count how many people I've heard say that the painless kits are GREAT. Good directions, well marked....easy to use.
