Can I use an LS1 throttle body on my 305?

I am going to be getting an LS1 throttle body (from a 2000-something Camaro) at no cost to me, and I was wondering a few things-

Will this bolt up to my intake (stock 305 TPI)?

What kind of gain am I looking at in a new throttle body (Not necessarily the LS1...I also have others available to me, such as larger diameter twin butterfly units specifically for my car, but those will cost me money)

Thanks.

No, it won't work... Not even close... I would say that your stock throttle body is more than enough (the general consensus is that the restrictions are deeper in the system (plenum, runners, base)) for a 305 and even a mildly modified 350..

So, no gain with a bigger throttle body at this point...
